Checking out the new accommodation

I put my new hoggie house out to check it for the elements and put some cat food and mealworms inside. Harris preferred the chicken outside at first (the cat wanted a sniff too, but couldn't get close)

02:16 - and s back inside checking out whether he wants to move in

Sunny

I hereby name this hedgehog Sunny.
I managed to nab him. He seems healthyish. But weighed just 300g. The size difference with Harris is huge.


I hope these walls are tall enough. I may need to close the lid, but make a big hole in the middle so he can't get out

Harris Popped out of Hibernation

I was on the look out to nab the small hedgie, but came across Harris. He must have felt the warmer weather and popped out for a bit to eat. Perhaps I shouldn't have grabbed him, but brought him in to weigh and he was a monster 925g.



And nearly filled the tub. Look at the nose on him :)

Size of a fox

Issy came to visit and when she went out and ran past camera it was "whoah, look at that massive creature!!!!!" Thing is, she's not a big dog, just a medium. Now I thought that the foxes were just a bit smaller than her, but when you look at the pics of the foxes, they are a lot smaller than dog size.

In fact, they are not much bigger than this cat.

I went out at about 7pm tonight to rearrange the food by the camera and could hear shuffling. This little one wasn't bothered about me shining the torch on him or taking photos.











Isn't he tiny? I need to put more food out.
